Please allow me the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit more about Blossoming Events. My name is Kass Adams Stolzberg, event designer and owner of Blossoming Events, a custom floral design studio and party decorating company that specializes in weddings, theme parties and seasonal decorating.
As a child I was always interested in making things, decorating the house and creating special gifts for friends and loved ones out of whatever material was at hand. As I grew older, this desire to express myself visually has never left me. A deep commitment to the creative life is an inherent part of my personality, yet my college studies in fine art and studio art production did not fill an internal need to connect to my community and be involved in bringing the creative process into our daily lives. I began to look for opportunities to volunteer, working at make-it-and-take-it craft workshops, art fairs and community events, and later leading workshops in flower arranging and teaching craft classes. Throughout my life, I have always been attracted to color, and the emotional responses it evokes. I have also always been compelled to create visual environments that are enjoyable and yet temporary, thriving on the enjoyment of creating an occasion, a mood, an event, transforming spaces with light and color. After many years, I began to build a bridge between my creative process orientation and my simple desire to create opportunities for enjoyment, and a passion for event designing became a professional ambition. I experimented with my first wedding flowers at the age of 17 and began doing weddings for family and friends in the early nineties, always thrilled by each new opportunity to grow as a designer and expand my technical skills. Professionally, I have 12 years of community event planning and merchandising experience in the retail arena, followed by four years as an activity professional, designing themes, coordinating and executing public events. During this time I continued to create wedding flowers and floral centerpieces through word of mouth referrals and, after establishing a small clientele and a reputation for unique designs and quality workmanship, launched Blossoming Events in late 2005. As a small business owner, I take pride in the quality of my workmanship and my commitment to exceptional customer service and believe that these qualities are the key to the success of Blossoming Events. I draw on my experience with inventory and merchandising to provide accurate and consistent pricing and specialize in cost control, giving you the best possible presentation for your budget dollar.
